Win a Husky 13-Piece Powertek Screwdriver!

Today's prize will make a terrific stocking stuffer for your household handyman, crafter, hobbyist, or for the busy mom or dad who is going to need a hand Christmas morning getting batteries into all the new toys, gadgets, and gizmos Santa leaves.

The Husky 13-Piece Powertek Screwdriver comes with 12 bits including 4 different slotted heads, 2 Phillips, 3 Hex, and 4 Torx bits. It has a sleek ergonomic design and comes in a neat flashlight-like case to help you keep all the bits and the screwdriver itself together. It is available at Home Depot for $9.88.

As we all know household improvements and repairs can have a way of going haywire. To win today's contest, share your most amusing story about a home fix-it job that went haywire and complete a couple of other steps and you may be chosen as my winner. Here are the rules:

1. In the comments for the this post, tell me your funniest home improvement fiasco story. And it can totally be at the expense of your husband, dad, mom, self, or whoever caused more damage or wreaked more havoc in his or her efforts to fix, repair, or upgrade something around the house.

2. Follow both of my blogs, this one and belleoftheblog.net.

3. Post a link on your blog, Facebook page, or via Twitter directly to the contest post.

4. Return to the comments and leave a link to the place you shared my link so I can verify.

To be clear, you must complete all four steps to be qualified.

I will choose the winner when the contest closes at 12:01 a.m. December 15. How will I choose, you ask? The story that makes me laugh the most. I know. It's purely subjective, but laughter is one of life's greatest gifts and I want to hear some funny (but true!) stories!

And so we're all the up and up, you should know that this contest is sponsored by Husky Tools. You should definitely check out their entire line of featured products and holiday offerings if you're still searching for that perfect gift.

Good luck! I will e-mail the winner on Wednesday morning!

My husband drilled through our bathroom floor once. He hit a pipe and an electrical wire. Our kitchen ceiling caved in from the water. Then, to top it off, when my dad tried to check out the situation he almost electrocuted himself. It was nuts!
